On Sunday 15 September 2024, a big open celebration for the children of Athens was held in Technopolis City of Athens on the subject of climate.  More than 550 visitors, children and their families, had the opportunity to learn through playing why the climate is changing and what we can do to adapt. A dynamic group of young educators, teachers and actors interacted with the children, awakening their environmental awareness regarding how we protect water and soil, how we shelter animals that lose their homes, what green professions are, why we leave the car aside so that the climate doesn’t change, how we can take care of water, why our habits have a decisive impact on the climate, how we make cities green and how we change them by painting.  The event was attended by Petros Varelidis, Secretary General of Natural Environment and Waters of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Eleonora Orfanidou, Journalist of Athens 9.84 and Katerina Christofilidou, Journalist of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation – ERT, who discussed with the public about the information and misinformation related with climate change.  Sympraxis, on behalf of the N.E.C.C.A and the 1u Project Fora of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project, undertook the conception of the creative idea in collaboration with the contracting authority, the support of the action planning, the creation and production of communication content, the promotion campaign and the coordination of all the actions of the event.
