The 1st  “Green Brushes Student Art Competition” for the 2025–2026 school year, organized by the Appliance Recycling S.A with the participation of 56 school classes and a total of 1,016 students of the 4th, 5th and 6th primary school grades from 30 different schools across the country, was completed with great success. The educational community embraced the initiative with great interest, with students working together as a team and demonstrating their environmental awareness in practice. Using their talent, imagination and ecological awareness, the students collectively created unique and inspiring visual artworks on the theme of the proper recycling of non-functional electrical and electronic devices, utilizing techniques such as painting, collage and graffiti, etc. Through these creations, the children sought to inform and motivate society to adopt sustainable daily practices, sending a resounding “green” message that proves that environmental protection passes through the new generations and confirms the commitment of Appliance Recycling S.A. to support schools in their mission for a cleaner future. The jury’s work proved to be particularly demanding, as the children’s passion, imagination and originality raised the bar high, and the final selection came down to the details. The evaluation of the projects was carried out through photographs and videos, focusing on the clarity of the message, the artistic approach, and the degree of the students’ cooperation. At the same time, the assessment of the teachers confirmed the wide acceptance of the “Green Brushes” action, as 100% of the participants evaluated it positively as an experiential tool and would recommend it to colleagues, while 94.7% declared their intention to participate again, strengthening the prospect of the project’s continuation.

1st PLACE: 22nd Primary School of Athens, Project: “Globe”, 6th Grade Class 1, 22 Children

2nd PLACE: 4th Primary School of Larissa, Project: “Recycle Now”, 6th Grade Class 2, 15 Children

3rd PLACE: Primary School of Lagadikia, Project: “Save the Planet”, Class E, 15 Children

SPECIAL DISTINCTION: 16th Primary School of Galatsi, Project: “Gaitis, Acrobat” & “Gaitis, Yellow Suit”, Classes D & F, 19 & 18 Children

SPECIAL DISTINCTION: Primary School of Nea Santa, Kilkis, Project: “Don’t Throw it Away, Bro”, Class E, 19 Children
