“CLEAN THOROUGHLY – CLEAN AT THE SOURCE” IN HYMETTUS
Henkel Consumer Brands and Dixan realised on 21 March 2024, the World Forest Day, the first voluntary cleaning action for 2024 in Hymettus, in the context of the “Clean Thoroughly – Clean at the Source” programme. Employees of the company, Kropia Municipality and 7 Non-Governmental Voluntary Organisations were actively present with the participation of 95 volunteers. The popular actor Nikos Kouris, a constant supporter of Dixan’s clean-up activities, was there to clean the area together with the other volunteers, strengthening the environmental awareness, consciousness raising and individual responsibility of the general public.
“MINISTRY OF THE ENVIRONMENT & ENERGY CONFERENCE ON GREEN TRANSITION”
The climate crisis is here and it affects all the countries of the planet. However, small, island and less developed countries are more vulnerable to its adverse impact, which is why they need more support. This was the basic conclusion of the three-day Conference of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy – YPEN, on the subject: “Energy Security and Green Growth”, which was realised with great success on 27, 28 and 29 November 2023 at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, in Athens.
“LET’S BECOME WATERPROOF”
The “Information and Communication Activities” project of the General Secretariat of the Natural Environment and Waters of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy – YPEN was realised, aiming to provide effective information, to promote the active participation of social partners and citizens, and to disseminate good practices regarding actions, programmes and plans implemented by the Ministry. An Education – Training Day for Good Practices of water resources management and a Climathon Innovative Ideas Competition with the theme “Water, Nature, Man”, were implemented for the ways to save and reuse water.
“The European Mobility Week 2019 – Award Ceremony”
Sympraxis Team undertook to coordinate the organisation of the award ceremony for the Greek participants in the European Mobility Week 2017, 2018 and 2019. On 9 July 2020, the Award Ceremony for the Greek cities that participated in the European Mobility Week 2019 took place at the Zappeion, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Ministers, General Secretaries, Mayors and other representatives of Local Government. The ceremony was held in an atmosphere of celebration and enthusiasm, showcasing the sustainable urban Municipalities that, with their innovative ideas and creativity, ensure a better quality of life for their citizens and highlight our country at European level. Sympraxis Team supported the overall organisation of the event for the 3rd consecutive year, taking all the necessary measures for the protection of the participants from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“EUandu: Focusing on research, technology and innovation”
On 18 January 2021, the European Commission Representation in Greece held the interactive, informative and entertaining conference EUandU, with the focus on Europe’s youth and the possibilities of exploiting research, technology and innovation for the development of business ideas. The aim of the Conference was to inspire and support young people to discover or create the job they dream of doing, focusing on areas of the future, such as the European Green Deal, the Transition to the Digital Age, Medical and Biomedical Research. Sympraxis Team undertook the organisation of the Conference on behalf of the Representation, choosing a hybrid model, with physical presence of the keynote speakers and parallel sessions in 4 cities (Athens, Heraklion, Patras and Brussels) as well as with the online participation of the audience that reached 1,500 participants. The Conference was supported by 3 important research University Centers: the University of Patras, the Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH) and the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems of the National Technical University of Athens ((ICCS /NTUA). Prominent personalities from the fields of politics, research and science participated with their presentations.
