In June 2026, Sympraxis participated in the 5th ESG Universe Forum digital conference, with the main title “Beyond Compliance: Transforming ESG Data into Operational Value. This year’s conference focused on the transition of corporate sustainability from reporting and regulatory compliance to delivering real business value. In particular, key issues were discussed, such as audit readiness, data reliability and the avoidance of greenwashing, sustainable financing, and the role of ESG in business competitiveness and strategy. Sympraxis was represented by Katerina Perissi, Head of Sustainability & Impact Advisory Services, in the thematic section “ESG as Business Capital: Skills, Trust & Competitive Value”. In this context, she elaborated on the topic “Social Acceptance: the risk that companies continue to underestimate.”Her presentation focused on the crucial “S” (Social) pillar of ESG criteria, calling on businesses to recognize that social acceptance and social license to operate, as well as stakeholder trust, is not just standard indicators of a sustainability report, but vital business capital. Drawing on her many years of experience in strategic sustainability planning, she highlighted the business risks associated with failing to recognize social impact and the need for businesses to address social acceptance as an essential factor of resilience and competitiveness.
