The “Open your eyes and see the rainbow we all comprise together” Summer Festival took place with great success, on 16 July 2014 at the Old Olive Mill theatre in Elefsis. The Sympraxis Team organised the whole event, in the framework of management support to the project “Open your eyes and see the rainbow we all comprise together”, funded by the Open Society Foundations and implemented by the Children Support Centre of Elefsis in cooperation with the “Kochili” Theatrical Organisation. The event was supported by the Municipality of Elefsis and the Union of Associations of Parents of the Municipality of Elefsis and aimed to raise awareness of young people against racist violence and discrimination. The artistic part of the evening began with the play “Blastrad”. After the play, a group of teenage athletes from the Gymnastics of the Municipality of Elefsis and their choreographer presented a performance on racism and violence, while the event closed with a rock concert by the music bands Sleazy Lizards, Aces and Blue Wanders. In the entrance of the Theatre there was a stand with information material of the other participating NGOs such as the UNHCR, the Association for the Psychosocial Health of Children and Adolescents (A.P.H.C.A.) and the NGO Aitima.
