Sustainable urban mobility plans, integrated and tailored to the needs of citizens living in the urban fabric, are a challenge for modern cities aiming to become climate-neutral. ECORouTs, a pioneering sustainable urban mobility project offering valuable experience in Crete and Cyprus, was completed in 2021. The final conference and info day, realised in Heraklion on 23 and 24 September, respectively, presented the project’s important results, while informing citizens and city visitors about the use of public transport (electric municipal vehicles) which promotes sustainable development and enhances environmental awareness. Sympraxis Team undertook all the communication actions of the project on behalf of the Municipality of Heraklion, supporting its campaign with the aim of jointly addressing and adapting the Municipality and the citizens to climate change.
