In an era where societies, businesses and institutions are literally and figuratively at a crossroads of challenges and choices, the 3rd Conference Effective Dialogue @ the Crossroads, which was organised by Sympraxis and the Hellenic Institute for Effective Dialogue on 6 November 2025 at the Stelios Foundation Conference Hall in Plaka, highlighted the crucial role of meaningful dialogue in making informed decisions on sustainability, social cohesion and corporate responsibility. More than 200 participants and 50 speakers –business executives, institutional bodies, State representatives, academics and civil society organisations– took part in a full-day event with ten thematic panels and keynote speeches, confirming that information, transparency and cooperation are the cornerstones of progress and trust. The Conference concluded with the Contribution Recognition Ceremony, which honored bodies and organisations for their many years of action and contribution to society and the environment. Among the awardees were the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Hellas Gold, ARCHELON, the Incarcerated and Released Women’s Support Network, and the Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Autism of Rethymno. The 3rd Effective Dialogue @ the Crossroads Conference confirmed that the right information leads to the right decisions, and that dialogue, when honest, participatory and based on scientific knowledge, can become a lever for change, development and trust. In a period of multiple crises, the Effective Dialogue remains a point of reference for those who believe that communication is not just a means, but an act of responsibility and collective maturity.
