BUILD UP, the European portal for energy efficiency in buildings, has come a long way since its launch as such in 2009 –previously initiated as the EPBD Buildings Platform– when Sympraxis Team first contributed to its successful services provision. For the 2014-2017 period, Sympraxis Team led the portal content development. With more than 1.500 articles published over three years by Sympraxis Team alone and more than twice overall, much multimedia content including webinars, extensive coverage of ‘hot’ energy issues and the latest developments in respect to the Clean Energy for All Europeans package, BUILD UP met its purpose: to reap the benefits of Europe’s collective intelligence on the energy performance of buildings for all relevant audiences and to bring together new practitioners and professional associations, while motivating them to exchange best working practices and knowledge and to transfer tools and resources. BUILD UP has been funded consecutively by the European Union’s Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) and Horizon 2020 programmes.
