The climate crisis is here and it affects all the countries of the planet. However, small, island and less developed countries are more vulnerable to its adverse impact, which is why they need more support. This was the basic conclusion of  the three-day Conference of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy – YPEN, on the subject: ”Energy Security and Green Growth”, which was realised with great success on 27, 28 and 29 November 2023 at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, in Athens. The Conference was attended by more than 100 speakers, the leadership of the Ministry, ambassadors, scientists of international prestige, experts, academics, businessmen, representatives of the State and the local government, as well as environmental and social agencies. The main objective of the Conference was to promote the perspectives of energy security and green growth at national and European level. The work of the Conference was concluded with the awarding of the prizes of the Photography Competition, the Script Competition, the Pan-Hellenic Educational Competition and the Innovative Ideas Competition. Sympraxis undertook the organisation of the Conference on behalf of the NSRF-YPEN Executive Unit within the framework of the “Communication Action Plan of the Ministry of Environment & Energy – YPEN” project for the environmental awareness and the information of citizens on a number of critical environmental issues.
