The re-MODULEES project, funded by the European programme Horizon2020, is completed. The results were presented on 22 February 2024 at a special conference in Brussels, in collaboration with the “Horizon2020 – Save the Homes” project and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).

re-MODULEES was launched 3.5 years ago, with the aim of facilitating and accelerating the deep renovation of residential buildings in Europe, in order to improve their energy efficiency and to achieve the goal of zero greenhouse gas emissions for the European Union by 2050. The project was based on leveraging a number of proposed solutions developed in previous EU-funded projects, including best technical solutions, innovative business models and financing programmes for the implementation of renovation projects, generally supporting holistic citizen-centered approaches and with the participation of all those who are part of the renovation chain. Sixteen partners from 8 European countries participated in the project, while 7 pilot markets in the same number of countries were used to develop the programme. In the project’s content, 7 Advisory Committees, one in each country representing all local stakeholders, 4 physical Renovation Hubs and one Digital re-MODULEES Hub, a basic application/tool for the diagnosis and predetermination of the options/components of renovation were created.

Sympraxis was one of the project partners, responsible for the project’s communication and promotion, and the dissemination of its results.
