4th CYCLE OF VOLUNTEER CLEANUP ACTIONS OF DIXAN – HENKEL

Sympraxis undertook the organisation and implementation of volunteer cleanup actions on behalf of DΙΧΑΝ and HENKEL HELLAS, completing with success the 4^th cycle of volunteer cleanup actions of the “Clean Thoroughly – Clean at the Source” programme. More than 350 volunteers from HENKEL HELLAS, MY MARKET stores and MASOUTIS stores, children and adults, as well as the actor Nikos Kouris, participated in the clean-up actions aimed at a cleaner environment, the preservation of biodiversity, habitats and wetlands and the improvement of the quality of life. In the framework of the planned actions, two parallel cleanups were also carried out, an underwater one in the Vravrona wetland, under the guidance of a professional and certified diving center, and a professional one, with the support of “heavy-duty” machinery to remove sediment from the Kaliakouda Ravine. The volunteers managed to collect and remove more than 4 tons of waste, “relieving” particularly burdened areas.
