In the heart of the historic area of Plaka, right below the Acropolis the TEDxPlaka Countdown took place on 5 November 2025, bringing together nearly 100 participants. The event focused on climate crisis, sustainability and collective action, with 16 influential speakers from various fields, such as science, education and art. The speakers shared ideas and important life stories with the participants, covering topics such as biodiversity, sustainable entrepreneurship, self-improvement, and communication. The message of the event emphasised that ecological awareness is a way of life that draws its roots from human history and the concept of community. TEDxPlaka encouraged society to take action against climate crisis, promoting cooperation and social awareness, with the aim of creating a better tomorrow. “If you want to predict the future, create it”.
