{"id":9779,"date":"2024-07-31T16:04:12","date_gmt":"2024-07-31T13:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sympraxis.eu\/cms\/?p=9779"},"modified":"2025-01-23T16:05:39","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T14:05:39","slug":"public-consultations-o%ce%bd-the-flood-risk-management-plans-meen-project-in-14-greek-cities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sympraxis.eu\/cms\/public-consultations-o%ce%bd-the-flood-risk-management-plans-meen-project-in-14-greek-cities\/","title":{"rendered":"PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS O\u039d THE \u201cFLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT PLANS\u201d MEEN PROJECT IN 14 GREEK CITIES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In June and July 2024, Sympraxis coordinated, organised and implemented 14 hybrid public consultation days in various cities of Greece, on behalf of its partners, the Consortiums of Consulting Companies &#8211; Contractors of the Studies, in the framework of the project of the Ministry of Environment and Energy <a href=\"https:\/\/floods.ypeka.gr\/\">\u201d<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/floods.ypeka.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1<sup>st<\/sup> Revision of Flood Risk Management Plans (FRM) for the River Basins of the Water Divisions of the Country&#8221;.<\/a> The consultation days were held in direct collaboration with the General Secretariat for Natural Environment and Water, and the General Directorate for Water.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, four consultation days were realised in Mytilini, Syros, Athens and Lamia for the Consortium of the companies &#8220;NAMA Consulting Engineers and Planners SA&#8221;, &#8220;ETME &#8211; PEPPAS &amp; ASSOCIATES LP&#8221; and &#8220;GAMMA &#8211; 4 LTD&#8221;, for the Water Divisions of the Aegean Islands (EL14), Attica (EL06) and Eastern Central Greece (EL07). Four consultation days were realised in Kalamata, Patras and Nafplion for the &#8220;ADT-OMEGA ATE&#8221; and &#8220;ADENS SA&#8221; Consortium, for the Water Departments of the Peloponnese (EL01, EL02, EL03), and for the Water Department of Crete ( EL13) in Heraklion. In Thessaloniki and Kozani, the consultations were held for the Water Departments of Central Macedonia (EL10) and Western Macedonia (EL09) respectively, for the Consortium of the consulting companies &#8220;YDROEXYGIANTIKI SA&#8221;, &#8220;Z&amp;A &#8211; P.\u00a0ANTONAROPOULOS AND ASSOCIATES Ltd.\u201d and &#8220;NERCO &#8211; N. Chlykas &amp; Associates SA&#8221;. For the Water Departments of Western Central Greece (EL04), Epirus (EL05) and Thessaly (EL08), Sympraxis realised three consultation days for the Consortium &#8220;G. KARAVOKYRIS &amp; ASSOCIATES ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS SA.&#8221; and \u201cENVECO SA&#8221;, in Messolonghi, Ioannina and Larissa. Finally, a consultation day was held in Corfu on the River Basin Management Plans for the Ionian Islands, for the Contractors of the Consulting Consortiums for the Water Divisions EL04, EL05 and EL02.<\/p>\n<p>The public consultations were broadcast live to ensure broad participation, transparency and accessibility. In addition, remote participants who wished to make a verbal statement were given the opportunity to participate, while the consultants had the opportunity to answer the questions of those who were physically present at the event as well as of remote participants. At least 800 participants attended physically, while more than 200 of them made a statement, either verbally or in writing, through social media chats, posing questions and making comments.
