The event was held in the modern, renovated space which now houses the workshop, within the historical building of the former SKYP (School of Textile Knitting) in the area of \u200b\u200bKaminia. Piraeus Makerspace was created using resources from the <a href=\"https:\/\/pop-machina.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">POP-MACHINA<\/a> (HORIZON 2020) European project in the &#8220;Urban Development and Revitalisation leveraging Circular Economy&#8221; axis, while it received additional funding from the ANTONIS TRITSIS Programme and the GREECE 1821- GREECE 2021 call. It is a pioneering project for the circular transformation of the local economy, which will be a hub for information, continuous education and training for various groups of the Municipality&#8217;s population, such as pupils, students, the unemployed, the disabled, craftsmen, various professional groups, etc. The Circular Economy Workshop is aimed at the community of makers who wish to create and redesign products in a sustainable way that mainly aims to the reuse of materials.
