Forty two students from around the country participated in the Student Conference and submitted their testimony, in addition to 12 speakers from the education sector, parents, journalists and representatives from the General Secretariat for Youth, the Advocate for Children, the Association for the Psychosocial Health of Children and Adolescents (APHCA), Amnesty International and the Summerhill anti-authoritarian school. The Conference was held in the framework of the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation “Youth in Action” programme aiming to inform students of their rights at school as prescribed by law, as well as ways to assert these rights. The Sympraxis Team undertook, on behalf of the Schooligans Creative Team, to submit the proposal, organise, promote and communicate the Program, as well as to draft the report on the Conference. The project was completed with the production of a Student Rights Guide and the provision of information to schools and the relevant competent organisations.

For information, speeches, photos and videos, click here.

The National Youth Meeting “Open your Eyes – Learn your Rights” was held on December 7, 8 and 9, 2012 at the 9.84 Amphitheatre at Technopolis, Gazi.
