The actions of the\u00a0\u201dCommunication Action Plan of the Ministry of the Environment & Energy \u2013 YPEN\u201d<\/a>\u00a0project for the environmental awareness raising and information of the citizens on a series of crucial environmental issues were successfully completed. The project aimed at highlighting the role and contribution of the YPEN policies to the general public and the competent bodies, as well as informing the citizens about the actions and projects of the Ministry\u2019s individual Directorates, and their impact on the protection of the environment and the quality of the citizens\u2019 life. Within the project\u2019s framework, a series of events and actions were carried out with great success and the active participation of the citizens, such as:\u00a0World Environment Day,<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0Accessibility and walkability in Greek cities online day<\/a>,\u00a0Forest ecosystems one-day conference<\/a>,\u00a0Greek landscapes photography competition<\/a>,\u00a0Script Competition with the theme \u201cClimate crisis, an urgent threat to our planet\u201d<\/a>,\u00a0Open event for the World Car Free Day<\/a>,\u00a0Innovative ideas competition \u2013 Climathon<\/a>,\u00a0Climate-neutral and smart cities one-day conference<\/a>,\u00a0Pan-Hellenic School Competition for Biodiversity<\/a>,\u00a0Three-day Conference on \u201cEnergy Security and Green Growth\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0One-day conference on biodiversity and protected areas<\/a>. The YPEN, with the whole of the project\u2019s actions, informed and activated the general public with a set of interventions with sustainable development as the main goal.
