ESG and Sustainability Consultant

Alexandros joined Sympraxis as a sustainability consultant, driven by a profound sense of responsibility to foster a positive impact on both the environment and society. He has an unwavering dedication to sustainability principles and a deep desire to contribute to the betterment of the world.
With a PhD focused on the environmental and climatic reconstruction of dynamic coastal settings, Alexandros possesses a deep understanding on the complex interactions between earth, water and the atmosphere but also a robust comprehension of how human activities can impact fragile ecosystems. Prior to joining Sympraxis, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Ecosystem Research, Kiel, Germany. During that time, he further developed his expertise in environmental assessments and conducted courses to MSc students on landscape development, as well as complex data management and statistical analysis techniques. His academic record includes more than 10 publications in scientific journals and participation in international conferences.
In addition to his academic background, Alexandros has also more than 5 years of experience as a geo-environmental analyst. In this role, he was responsible for conducting environmental assessments in aquaculture units, leading a team of junior environmental analysts and perform bathymetric surveys, habitat mapping, laboratory analyses, and statistical processing of environmental results. His experience working in ISO certified labs and numerous environmental projects, has led him to develop excellent management skills, the ability to work and lead multidisciplinary teams and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
