Sympraxis Team has undertaken the design and implementation of three model playgrounds titled “Urban Oases” on behalf of Coca-Cola 3E in the framework of the environmental programme “Making our life better” of the AVRA natural mineral water. The three Urban Oases are located in Athens (Patisia), Patras (Agyia) and Egio (Ipsila Alonia Park) and they are recreation areas promoting child development in an environment providing special design, high value playtime, unnegotiable safety, innovation and resilience to time. The equipment used in these model playgrounds is certified on the basis of the latest legislative specifications for playgrounds and is made of environment-friendly materials. Their construction of the Urban Oases is in line with the modern European playground design approach, where the natural element “invades” the urban environment and becomes part of the game. Thus, children enjoy unique games in nature, which contribute to their environmental awareness and strengthen their contact with the natural element.
