Proud and happy to announce the successful start of the Horizon 2020 iBRoad2EPC project! The project kick-off meeting took place as a hybrid event, hosted in the Athens historic area of Plaka, at the foot of the Acropolis, on 15-16 September 2021. After a long period of social distancing, ten partner representatives joined physically under full protection measures from covid-19, while 20 others participated through continuous teleconference and online polls. As a follow-up to the Horizon 2020 iBRoad project (2017-2020), iBRoad2EPC builds on lessons learnt to extend Building Renovation Passport elements and to integrate them with Energy Performance Certificates. Such tools will help building owners renovate efficiently and effectively, supporting the much-needed decarbonisation of European buildings. The iBRoad2EPC approach will be customised for, and implemented in, six EU countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Spain. The start of the project found the iBRoad2EPC partners deeply committed and pragmatically ambitious, acknowledging the challenges ahead and inspired to contribute to a better future through the project collaboration.
