On May 9th, 2019, the IMPULSE National Conference and Policy Meeting took place in Heraklion, Crete to present the most significant results deriving from the implementation of the European project IMPULSE Interreg-MED  in the Municipality of Heraklion. The conference presented the benefits of using the Programme’s tools at a national and a Mediterranean level as well as the substantial contribution of the project conclusions to policy making on the energy upgrade of Public Buildings. The event brought together the CRES (Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving), the Regional Fund of Crete, The European Association of Cities in Energy Transition “EnergyCities”, representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the University of Crete and FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas), European energy associations, high-level officials of first and second level local government, business executives from the energy sector as well as executives of the Programme’s Mediterranean partners. Sympraxis Team, having undertaken the project’s communication actions, supported the overall organisation of the event.
